Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Giants’ five-game winning streak came to an end today as they lost to the Brewers by a score of 12-8. Matt Cain looked sharp for the Giants, tossing 3.0-scoreless innings while allowing only 3 hits.
Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Giants came back in the bottom of the 9th inning with a walk-off single to beat the Dodgers 8-7 in front of a sell-out crowd of 12,081 at Scottsdale Stadium. SF was down 7-6 in the 9th before Thomas Neal on a Roman Colon wild-pitch that tied the game at 7 apiece. Ehire Adrianza came into the game as a pinch runner, stole second and later scored after Gary Brown’s game-winning RBI single.

Jonathan Sanchez was the first Giants’ starter to reach the 4.0 inning mark, allowing 1 run on 2 hits and a walk with 5 strikeouts. Casey Daigle earned his first spring win, tossing 1.0 inning while allowing 1 hit. Jeremy Affeldt, Shane Loux and Felix Romero finished out the game, throwing a combined 4.0-scoreless innings with 5 Ks, while allowing 3 hits and no walks.
