Giants end 5-game winning streak; lose to Brewers 12-8
Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Giants’ five-game winning streak came to an end today as they lost to the Brewers by a score of 12-8. Matt Cain looked sharp for the Giants, tossing 3.0-scoreless innings while allowing only 3 hits.
Aubrey Huff had a great day at the dish, going 3-for-3 with a single, double, home run and 3 RBI. Pablo Sandoval hit his 3rd home run of the spring with a solo shot over the left field fence in the 6th inning. Freddy Sanchez went 1-for-2 with a double, RBI and Andres Torres went 1-for-3 with a triple.
Tomorrow, the Giants travel to Salt River Fields to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. SF will send LHP Madison Bumgarner to the hill to face Arizona’s RHP Barry Enright.
